Victor Marshall

Born in our nation’s capital,  S.E. Washington DC.

Started playing bass in a neighborhood band around 12 yrs. old. Studied music performance at Mary Washington University in Fredericksburg,  Va. where he picked up the upright bass. Played in a few bands in the Navy aboard the USS Independence and later for his church orchestra at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Lemon Grove, California.

Influenced by everybody; Jaco, Larry Graham, Brothers Johnson, Victor Wooten, Stanley Clark and on and on and on.

Now I just enjoy playing and learning more genres than I ever thought I’d be interested in. Music isn’t a genre anyway. It’s another way to speak and say, Hey, can I put a smile on your face? Let’s dance!
